Beating a dead horse, lockers, or TT?
« on: August 04, 2021, 07:47:59 AM »
Full disclosure, I've already decided on my configuration based on advice from people that know a lot more than I do. But I'm curious to what the general consensus is.

2011 Wrangler Sahara, 35" (34" actual) tires, 3-1/2" lift, 5.13 gears, and a hula girl on the dash. I want to crawl up modestly fun trails and not break stuff.

Options front and rear could include any combination of the following in no particular order.

ARB.
TT.
Eaton E-Locker.
Leave it alone - it was designed that way.

Front:

Rear:

What would you do?

[I am approving this post. Responders should respond directly to Bobbyt by email. I won't be approving any other comments to this topic on the board. I would hope that Bobbyt would write up a summary of the relevant info he receives and his conclusions and post that as a concluding post.

Generally we don't do discussions on this board. A lot of members pretty much don't want to receive notifications of anything other than run announcements. They have expressed their annoyance at receiving high volumes of email that they are not interested in.

A good place for open discussions would be on our Facebook groups: https://www.facebook.com/groups/justruns4wdclubpublicgroup and https://www.facebook.com/groups/justruns4wdgroup . One is public and the other is private. The whole world can see what is posted in the public group. Only members can see what is in the non-public group. Only members can respond in either case.

(I'm toying with the idea of adding an open discussion category to the board. Notifications would default to being turned off. Anybody wanting to receive notification of posts in that category would have to go in and intentionally turn the notifications on.)
